Numbers for Germany for year 2015:
476,649 requests for asylum ( 273,815 more than in the whole 2014)
Out of this almost half a million requests:
162,510 from Syrians
About 140,000 from six Balkan countries (Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bosnia, Montenegro)
PS: 441,899 of these 476,649 requests were first requests „Erstanträge“.
Decisions about applications in 2015:
282,726 decisions ( In 2014: 128,911 decisions)
out of these decisions: 48.5 % recognized as refugee according to „Genfer Konvention“), 0.6% subsidary protection, 0.7% Abschiebeschutz.

Registered people in the German database system EASY are much higher (not clear why, people may either still be in Germany, but could not submit their request for asylum yet or they may have left Germany to proceed to other countries, e.g. Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, …)
